Dell XPS M1710 Notebook Now Equipped With Blu-Ray Burner
Dell announced today the availability of a notebook featuring a dual-layer Blu-ray burner as an option. The XPS M1710 will offer all the standard features of Blu-ray drives—1080p video, up to 7.1 surround audio, backward compatibility with standard CD and DVD discs, etc.
"Blu-ray optical drive technology has gained broad industry support and we believe it will become the optical drive standard of the future," said Alex Gruzen, senior vice president, Dell Product Group, in a release. "We continue to see PCs—both desktops and notebooks—functioning as the entertainment and productivity hub in the home and on the road with their versatility, power, connectivity, and vibrant high-definition displays. We believe high-definition video powered by Blu-ray Disc technology
will be a significant part of that entertainment experience."
The Blu-ray notebooks are also the first Blu-ray Disc system to meet the logo requirements for Nvidia PureVideo technology for providing the "ultimate" HD experience on a PC. Get ready an awful lot of money to grab the beast since the starting price for the computer equipped with Blu-ray burner is $3 699! Not cheap!

The main benefit from going Xeon over i7 is ECC memory (more reliable, but more expensive) and support for dual processors. Adobe software is notoriously bad at exploiting multiple cores, however, so it’s better to get fewer, faster cores than many slower ones. Make sure you get memory in multiples of 3, as that’s how you get optimum memory bandwidth on Nehalem processors.

Dell XPS M1710 is my latest purchase of few days back. Its working fine but I am hiving a little bit trouble in connecting its Wi-Fi. Can anybody suggest what is the problem? Thanks in advance.
