Spiderman 3 on Blu-ray Disc
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is offering a sneak peek of Spider-Man 3 on Blu-ray exclusively at Best Buy, just prior to the film's May 4 theatrical launch.
Starting April 29, while supplies last, Best Buy customers will receive a free Blu-ray sampler disc with the purchase of any other Blu-ray software or hardware product. The disc features Spider-Man 3 trailers and clips and represents the first high-def look at this next installment of the franchise.
"Best Buy's promotion is an example of an important marketing tool that will raise consumer awareness for the Blu-ray Disc format on an ongoing basis," said David Bishop, SPHE president.
Sony has not officially confirmed yet that Spiderman 3 was going to be available on Blu-ray, but after releasing a sneak preview like this, we can be pretty sure that the Blu-ray version is going to be available day and date with the DVD in November.

I have not been able to get Spiderman 3 BD to play on my Acer 7720 laptop either. It plays everything else. It's got a Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500A blu-ray player on it. Frustrating.

I tried playing Spiderman 3 BD and the movie disc did not work. The Special Features disc works as did another BD. I exchanged it for a new disc, and I had the same problem. Anyone know what is going on?

I got Spidey 3 yesterday and voice and video are all out of sync.
Is it the disc or my player?
Other regular DVDS play OK

I also cannot play Spider Man 1,2,or 3 Blu Ray on my Dell XPS M1730 Matshita BD player. Special features disk is the only one that works. All other BD's work. What is the deal with laptop blu ray players and this particular movie? Very frustrating. Taking the trilogy back to the store.

I just bought my 4th blu-ray Spiderman3 disc at a booth at the mall and like the other three blu-ray disc movie spiderman3 that I bought from Costco (Returned them all each time from different stores),won't play on my Sony Blu-ray player. What is going on with this movie? The other blu-ray movies that I have, they are all working just fine. Can anyone answer this problem?

My first copy had the audio/video out of sync. The next copy had garbled audio during the fight with hobgoblin. I gave up at that point.

This guy (http://www.avrevforum.com/showthread.php?s=75b98ea806e26256510f38d7596bc748&t=906), seems to think that a firmware update would solve the issue for many Blu-ray player models.
I can't say if this will be enough for those you trying to make it work on a Blu-ray drive.

Go to http://support.vaio.sony.co.uk/downloads/updates/updates.asp?site=voe_en_GB_cons
Enter your Vaio model number & install the WinDVD BD update (about 85MB). This will solve the problem. My Vaio now plays Spiderman 3 Blu-Ray disc.

Spider man 3 The script is busy with so many supporting characters and plot detours that the series' charming idiosyncrasy is sometimes lost in the noise. Fortunately, it's entertaining noise.
