According to Thomas Nedder, chief executive of Sony NEC Optiarc Europe, a joint venture company that makes Blu-ray Disc drives, we should expect prices for blank Blu-ray discs to reach 5 euros ($7.75) in the near future. This is major drop since the current prices for blanks discs are between 20 to 30 euros ($31 to $46) euros apiece.
