Snip, Snip?
For a while now, it looks like the studios haven't been sure where to price their Blu-ray movies. On the one hand, it is a premium product over the DVD, so it should be a premium product. On the other hand, I'm paying for the rights to view the film at home, so it shouldn't matter to them whether it is a standard def DVD, a videotape (remember those?), a Blu-ray, or a digital download when it is priced for retail distribution.
At any rate, DVD's seel best when they are priced less than $20. They are often at that price point when they first come out, and that's when consumers scoop them up.
Blu-ray discs have traditionally been priced higher. Apparently, the new price point they are looking at is $24 to $26. I'm not sure why that is the magic number, and in my mind it's still five bucks too high. I'm hearing plenty of folks that complain that while the price of Blu-ray players has come down, the discs are still too much. Let's hope that as they gain popularity, the prices come more in line so we can build our collections.

I think 5 dollars more than the dvd is worth it for what you get, but many need/want it to be the same as dvd. Until maybe they see how much better the picture and sound is. Actually the picture sells it, lossless audio is way overrated.

You might want to actually use the spell-check feature on your computer before you post your articles Jonas D!
How utterly embarrassing and pathetic it is to see such rampant misspellings in this day and age - but I guess that's what happens since any MORON can write 'articles' now.
