The Girlfriend Experience

The Girlfriend Experience.
The second film in a planned run of six, this is Steven Soderbergh's low-budget movie about prostitution in New York, as told by an expensive Manhattan call-girl.  Screened as a rough-cut at Sundance, The Girlfriend Experience is also notable for starring adult movie actress Sasha Grey in the lead role.  The disc is going to be in 1080p with a DTS-HD soundtrack and will be in stores on the 1st September.

I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.
The sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer will feature a Making-of featurette, a Jennifer Love Hewitt music video and is set for release on the 14th July.

Encounters in the Natural World.
This five-movie box set of Werner Herzog documentaries will include Encounters at the End of the World, Grizzly Man, The White Diamond, La soufriere and The Flying Doctors of East Africa.  This exciting set will be out on the 31st August in the UK.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.
Amazingly, the Kristin Kreuk starring Street Fighter spin-off will be a 3-disc set with both the theatrical and unrated cuts, plus we would expect a digital version to be in the mix as well.  It's out in June.

Trainspotting and Shallow Grave.
Danny Boyle's early movies get the full-on Blu-ray treatment (in the case of Trainspotting, for the second time) on the 1st of June in the UK.  Both will feature new documentaries and commentaries, plus a host of featurettes.

Scarce details have also appeared online for Labyrinth, scheduled for September the 1st, a German/Spanish release of Spieberg's A.I. and finally Big Trouble in Little China, for which we need more details - now!

Cheap Blu-Ray Films

Re. Train Spotting and Shallow Grave. These are two movies with great soundtracks which you must watch with the volume turned up.

Seeing a grown man dive down a toilet bowl in high definition mmmmmm an experience not to be forgotten.
