Star Trek Limited Edition Blu-ray Set Up for Pre-Order

It looks like you'll have to be quick for this one!  The JJ Abrams reboot of the Star Trek franchise has been the best of the big budget action pictures so far this year and unsurprisingly, Paramount are making sure their Blu-ray release will be popular with the fans.  In addition to the standard disc, Amazon have announced this very special limited edition set too.

It's an exclusive to the online retailer and will contain the three-disc Blu-ray (which will include a digital copy) plus a replica of the USS Enterprise featured in the film.  This is no ordinary cheap collectible though, as it's been made by QMx, the company with the license to produce official Star Trek replicas, who have created the model using footage directly from the movie's FX sequences.  This hand-crafted, solid metal model, which measures 8.5", is finished in chrome, textured steel and pewter and sits on a Federation logo stand.

The reason you'll have to act fast?  There are just 5000 being made and each will contain a certificate of authenticity from QMx and ILM.  It's not cheap though, and is currently up for pre-order for $90.99, but judging by the quality and rarity of the replica, we'd be surprised if this didn't sell out long before release.
