Kathryn Bigelow's recent Iraq-based action movie has finally been announced for both Blu-ray and DVD, however the release date is still some distance away as it is set for the 12th January in the USA. A film which gained plenty of excellent reviews, The Hurt Locker has remained unseen by many thanks to a rather sporadic release schedule - a shame for a film described as one of the year's best.
The disc isn't packed with special features as yet either, however this may change closer to the day. Here's what there is so far:

- Image gallery.
European Hurt Locker fans won't be pleased either, as the movie will be released by Summit Entertainment - also responsible for movies such as Twilight and Knowing - and therefore will almost certainly be region locked, so no early imports for you.
