This Week's New Blu-ray Releases - 1st December

Posted by Andy Boxall

T4 These are the Blu-ray new releases for the first week of December.

US Releases for the 1st December:

Terminator Salvation: Director's Cut.

A three disc set with the movie in both theatrical and extended form plus a digital copy.  Three minutes is the difference between the two versions and while it raises the certificate, it won't raise the quality of McG's franchise entry.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

The comedy sequel comes as a three disc set with the Blu-ray joining a DVD and a digital copy.  Extras include a gag reel, deleted scenes and several 'Monkey Mischief' featurettes.

Green Mile.

Frank Darabont returns to Stephen King source material, presented here in a Warner DigiBook.

Gimme Shelter.

Witness the end of the 60s with this Rolling Stones documentary.  Criterion's release has an audio commentary and a 90-minute audio feature on the follow up to the infamous show.

Also released are Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Gremlins and Mask of Zorro.

UK Releases for the 20th November.

G Force.

The animated guinea pigs get a combi-release with a Blu-ray and a DVD.

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.

The braindead sequel has a commentary, a long making-of documentary and various other fluff.  A third disc contains a digital copy.

Watchmen - Director's Cut.

The UK gets the director's cut they were refused at first, but it doesn't really matter as the theatrical cut is the better version anyway.

The Proposal.

Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds romantic comedy.  Another combi-release with a Blu-ray and DVD, plus extras including a commentary, alternate ending and deleted scenes.
