NAD Adds M56 to Blu-ray Player Range
The NAD T-series Blu-ray players have been joined by the M56, NAD's newest Blu-ray machine to be launched. This is a little different from its sister players though, as the M56 is part of the Master Series, a range of products which moves away from their usual lower-cost/high-quality output into the realms of more serious premium audiophile manufacturers.
It's a Profile 2.0 machine with fast loading speeds which can be networked using the built-in Wi-Fi or the Ethernet port found on the rear panel. You'll have 1080p/24fps video and DVD upscaling over the HDMI, while the audio side is taken care of with 7.1 analogue outputs and Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding onboard. The front-mounted USB port will playback the usual picture and audio files, plus DivX HD files too.
The M56's design is unlike the regular Blu-rays we see, however the chassis is made from steel with an aluminium front panel which combined with the vibration-dampening feet, help isolate the player as possible. The M56 is set for launch in the UK during February, where it'll cost around £1900, however the player has been available since late last year in the US for $1999.
