This Week's New Blu-ray Releases - 19th January 2010
Here is a rundown of this weeks major new Blu-ray releases in the UK and USA.
Che.
Soderbergh's epic gets the Criterion treatment and is spread over two discs.
Pandorum.
The sci-fi movie is joined by a director's commentary, deleted and alternate scenes and a behind-the-scenes featurette.
Gamer.
It's Gerard Butler! Extra's include an i-con mode, which is an expanded visual commentary, plus some branching making-of content called 'Gamer Cheat Codes'. A regular making-of and an audio commentary are also featured.
Invention of Lying.
Ricky Gervais' second leading-man big screen outing has a variety of intriguing extras such as an 'honest' making-of, insider videos, outtakes and Prequel: The Dawn of Lying: Documenting a Monumental Occasion in History feature.
Whiteout.
Kate Beckinsale stars in this thriller set in the Antarctic. A digital copy is included.
Also released is Smokin' Aces and the sequel, Smokin' Aces 2: Assassins' Ball, plus Magnolia, Fool's Gold and He's Just Not That Into You.
UK Releases for the 18th January.Funny People.
Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann star in Judd Apatow's comedy. The disc has a commentary, a gag-reel and a documentary.
(500) Days of Summer.
The modern romantic comedy has additional and deleted scenes and conversations with the stars.
Suspiria.
We covered the new release of Argento's masterpiece when it was announced.
Also released are Gamer, Dorian Gray and Creation.
