This Week's New Blu-ray Releases - 2nd February 2010

Zombieland Here is a rundown of this week's major new Blu-ray releases in the UK and USA.

US Releases for the 2nd February:

Zombieland.

The zombie road-movie gets a group commentary with stars Harrelson and Eisenberg, plus the writers and director, along with some behind-the-scenes and FX featurettes.

Mystic River.

The star-studded Eastwood drama has a Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon commentary, interviews, a featurette and a Boston tour with the writer of the novel.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Terry Gilliam's adaptation of Hunter S. Thompson's book is not for everyone, but it should be seen at least once.  Shame the extras are lacking, with only a location spotlight and some deleted scenes to accompany the movie.

Triangle.

An effective Aussie thriller from the director of Severance.  Only some cast and crew interviews have been added as extras though.

Also released are Universal Soldier: Regeneration, House of the Devil, To Live and Die in L.A., Gangs of New York, The Last King of Scotland, Planet Hulk: Special Edition, Ong Bak 2 and Music Man.

UK Releases for the 1st February.

The Invention of Lying.

Ricky Gervais' second leading role, The Invention of Lying, contains nearly an hour of bonus content including a making-of, podcasts and outtakes.

The Firm.

Nick Love's loose adaptation of Alan Clarke's original from 1989.  A 25 minute making-of, deleted scenes and a Nick Love commentary form the bulk of the extras.

Broken Embraces.

Almodovar returns with Penelope Cruz, complete with some deleted scenes and a short film.

Also released are Aliens in the Attic, Halloween 2 (remake), The Last King of Scotland, and I Hate Valentine's Day.
