Posted by Andy Boxall

Wildthings Here is a rundown of this week's major new Blu-ray releases in the UK and USA.

US Releases for 2nd March 2010:

2012.

A two-disc set with the second disc containing a digital copy.  A picture-in-picture track joins an Interactive Mayan Calender, deleted scenes and an alternate ending as extras.

Where the Wild Things Are.

Spike Jonze's adaptation of the famous children's tale.  A series of short films accompany an HBO First Look featurette and a documentary on the making of the film.  Great cover-art too!

Clash of the Titans.

This is the 1981 original release, timed to whet our appetites for the remake's theatrical release.  It comes in a Digibook package and has a conversation with Ray Harryhausen included in the extras.

Ponyo.

Miyazaki's latest animation is a crazy as ever, and is presented in a Blu-ray/DVD combo package.

Also released is Alice and The Neverending Story.

UK Releases for the 1st March 2010:

Fantastic Mr. Fox.

A Triple Play edition with a Blu-ray, a DVD and a digital copy.  Seven featurettes covering the look, cast and making of the film make up the majority of the bonus features.

Funny Games.

This could be an HMV Exclusive release at this stage, with other sites listing it as being released in early April.  It's the US remake, by the way.

Emmanuelle.

Sylvia Kristal stars as the titular character, with an interview and a featurette as extra features.

Also released are Jacob's Ladder, The Horseman and Triangle.
