LG Go 3D Blu in the US, UK Version Gets Mystery 3D Movie

Bx580
Spotted in the leak which arrived during February, LG have now made the BX580 official for launch in the US.  Well, they sort-of have, as the player has turned up for pre-order on Amazon for the princely sum of $399.  There is no actual date attached to the page, with delivery being noted as within the next 1 or 2 months, although the player is listed on LG's US site.

The BX580 is the company's first 3D Blu-ray player and is quite well specced.  In addition to Blu-ray, upscaled DVD and 3D support, the player has Wi-Fi, various online streaming services including YouTube, Pandora, NetFlix and Vudu, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD decoding plus express start-up.

Where the BX580 falls down is when we turn to connections.  It has just one HDMI and no 7.1 audio outputs, where other recently announced players, such as the Panasonic and the Denon, add both or with the Denon, two HDMI's, at the same cost.

The BX580 is also present on LG's UK website, with the interesting addition of 'Blu-ray 3D Bundle Title' added to the bottom of the specification page, but what could it be?  LG's most recent partnership was with Paramount for Iron Man 2, whose 3D titles include Beowulf, How to Train Your Dragon and Monsters vs. Aliens.  So will this be another outing for Monsters, already included with Samsung's starter pack?  We'll have to wait and see.
