This Week's New Blu-ray Releases - 28th July 2010
Here is a rundown of this week's major new Blu-ray releases in the UK
and USA.
Clash of the Titans.
The remake of the 1981 original comes without 3D - which is fine as it was shot as 2D anyway - but with the Blu-ray, a DVD and a digital copy. The film has a Maximum Movie Mode, an alternate ending and a featurette called Sam Worthington: An Action Hero for the Ages. Eugh.
Rambo: Extended Cut.
Rambo has been recut and had various scenes added, tweaked, extended and even removed. The disc's extra feature is Rambo: To Hell and Back, Sylvester Stallone's 90 minute video production diary.
Repo Men.
The Jude Law and Forest Whitaker film comes with a writer/director commentary, deleted scenes, a selection of featurettes and support for the Pocket BLU app.
Also released: Batman: Under the Red Hood, Ip Man and G.I. Joe: The Movie.
UK Releases:Clash of the Titans.
The UK release shares the same features as its US cousin, and also comes as a Combo pack with the Blu-ray, DVD and digital copy.
The Bounty Hunter.
Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler star in this rom-com, the Blu-ray of which contains a couple of featurettes and most likely, a digital copy.
Paranoiac.
The Hammer film starring Oliver Reed gets its UK home video debut. The Blu-ray has an HD gallery, the trailer and an optional music and FX track.
Also released: Remember Me, Shank and Picnic at Hanging Rock.
