This Week's New Blu-ray Releases - 24th August 2010
Here is a rundown of this week's major new Blu-ray releases in the UK
and USA.
Lost: The Complete Collection.
We took a look at this gorgeous collection when it was announced, plus Lost: The Complete Sixth Season is also released as a standalone box set.
Shogun Assassin.
Released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this re-edited feature-length version of Lone Wolf and Cub. The disc has a commentary track and an interview wit Samuel L. Jackson on his love for the film.
Survival of the Dead - Ultimate Undead Edition.
Seeing as the UK edition has no extras at all, US fans have been spoiled with a commentary track, a short film and a documentary on the making of the movie.
Also Released: Time Bandits, The Back-up Plan, The Simpsons: 13th Season and Dorian Gray.
UK Releases:Flash Gordon - 30th Anniversary Limited Edition.
The famous camp classic comes in a Steelbook case with an exclusive Queen soundtrack CD, plus the film has a commentary track and interview footage.
Repo Men.
Contains both the theatrical and the extended cut of the film, a commentary track, deleted scenes and a look at the visual effects work. The audio is DTS-HD.
Going Postal.
The Terry Pratchett adaptation gets an introduction by the man himself, deleted scenes, a gag reel and a director's commentary.
Also Released: The Vampire Diaries Season One, The Innocents, The Edge of the World and Dear John.
